Loop High School Robotics

The VEX robotics team consisting of Chandler Freeman, John Neufeld and Hannah Koschinski along with their teacher, Mrs. Charla Scott and Superintendent Scott Allen traveled to area competition in El Paso on February 28th.  The team with their robot, “PartyBot 2.0” finished in 3rd place out of 24 teams in the qualifying rounds of competition and in first place in the Skills and Programming Challenges.   After the final round, the team was tied for the top award which advances to the national level of competition.  Unfortunately, the tie was broken with a Judges Award and the team did not advance this year.

The robotics competition is fairly new to Loop ISD and has been offered to Loop students since January 2014.  It is just one of the many ways the district strives to meet the changing needs of our students and remain competitive with larger school districts.
