Dear Loop ISD Athletic Parents,
I hope this message finds you well as we gear up for another exciting sports year. As we approach the start of the 2023-2024 school year, I am thrilled to share some positive changes taking place within Loop Longhorn Athletics.
With Coach Trent's retirement, I am honored to step into the role of Athletic Director. As such, I would like to extend an invitation to all parents of students in grades 6 through 12 to join us for an informative meeting on July 31st at 6:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss our Loop ISD athletic policy, as well as the latest UIL policy updates for the upcoming school year. Additionally, this gathering will provide an excellent opportunity for you to meet our dedicated coaching staff, who will be present to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Whether your child is involved in a particular sport this year or not, we would be delighted to have you in attendance. I am excited about the promising prospects for Loop ISD and look forward to a year filled with positive experiences and accomplishments. Together, let's cheer on the Horns to success!

Loop ISD will host the high school UIL Academic meet on Thursday, March 23rd. Therefore, THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON THURSDAY, MARCH 23RD.
Reminder to all parents. Picture day is on Wednesday, March 1. Class Group photos must be paid for the day of the pictures. If you have not seen order forms, ask your JH or HS student to bring them home. There are several still on lockers.
JH Meet scheduled for Thursday is postponed to 3:45ish on Friday after the HS meet due to the expected high winds on Thursday. High school will remain as scheduled.

Please note: The JH track meet scheduled for Tuesday, February 21st has been cancelled due to the playoff game.
Varsity Boys basketball game at Sands on February 10th is now at 6:15pm. NO JV GAME
We will honor our senior basketball player and his parents on Tuesday, February 14th at 5:45 prior to the boys' game. We will also recognize the 2023 Basketball King and Queen. Come out and support our Longhorns!
Loop ISD will make up one of the previously missed school days on Friday, February 17th. Please note there WILL be school for all students on February 17th.

BASKETBALL GAMES POSTPONED
Due to deteriorating conditions around Grady, Texas, all four of tonight's basketball games have been postponed. We will update later with the rescheduled date.
UPDATE FOR TONIGHT'S GAME: The varsity girls will play at 5:00 followed by the varsity boys. There will be NO JV game tonight.
Due to the declining weather and road conditions, Loop ISD has cancelled school for today, Tuesday, January 24th. The basketball games are still scheduled for tonight at Loop and we will keep you updated of any changes. Stay safe and warm and have a blessed day!
